Situated in Baja California, Mexico, the Valle de Guadalupe occupies a climatic niche on a peninsula, where a Mediterranean-like climate has encouraged a growing wine industry, with over a hundred establishments to date.

Yet, with the looming effects of climate change and increasingly irregular rainfall, the viability of these wineries is under threat. As such, the studio was asked to respond to the issues of water and material in designing a new winery along an arroyo in the Valle.
